Ani DiFranco
After 20 years in the music biz, self-described “Little Folksinger” Ani DiFranco is still technically little, although her influence on fellow musicians, activists, and indie-minded people the world over has been huge. She still proudly identifies as a folksinger, too, but her understanding of that term has always been far more expansive than a bin at the record store or a category on iTunes, with ample room for soul, funk, jazz, electronic music, spoken word, and a marching band or two. Over the course of more than 20 albums, including the live double- CD Living in Clip (1997) and the two-disc career retrospective Canon (2007), as well as her latest, ¿ Which Side are You On ? (2012), Ani has never stopped evolving, experimenting, testing the limits of what can be said and sung.

Brubeck Brothers Quartet (A Tribute To Dave Brubeck)
The Brubeck Brothers Quartet is an exciting jazz group featuring two members of one of America’s most accomplished musical families, Dan Brubeck (drums,) and Chris Brubeck (bass & trombone.) Guitarist Mike DeMicco, and pianist Chuck Lamb, complete this dynamic quartet.
They have performed at concert series, colleges, and jazz festivals across North America and Europe including the Newport, Detroit, Ravinia, Las Vegas, Sedona, Spokane & Monterey Jazz Festivals. Their hour long concert at Sierra Nevada Brewery has been broadcast on the nationally syndicated program: “Sierra Center Stage”. The BBQ was chosen to kick off the New Year with an hour long, coast-to-coast live broadcast on “Toast of the Nation” on National Public Radio. Their new Koch release,Classified, has already earned this rave review fromAll About Jazz: “Once again the BBQ attains that rarefied level where music is both relaxed and expressive, and their joy in its creation is contagious. There’s really nothing out there that comes close to their unique brand of inventiveness.”
These versatile musicians also collaborate with orchestras, and in 2006 ignited the Salt Lake City Jazz Festival by playing with the Utah Symphony conducted by Keith Lockhart. With Chris Brubeck’s compositions as a vehicle, the BBQ has joined with chamber groups to collaborate with musicians from the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Russian National Symphony Orchestra. The Brubeck Brothers Quartet’s debut Koch recording, Intuition, impressed the national jazz media and spent several weeks in the top ten radio charts while earning enthusiastic reviews from JazzTimes, Downbeat, Boston Globe and many other respected publications. “Intuition was measure for measure one of the hardest swinging sets of the year.” (Philadelphia Inquirer)
Although the quartet’s style is rooted in “straight-ahead” jazz, their concerts reveal an inherent ability to explore and play odd time signatures while naturally integrating the influences of funk, blues and world music. The group’s creativity, technique and improvisation can be heard in their uncompromising music, which reflects their dedication to melody, rhythm, culture and the spontaneous spirit of jazz.

Lee Greenwood
Lee Greenwood could easily talk about the accomplishments in his life, but this high energy entertainer prefers to continue writing and recording with the same passion and integrity that has always fueled his stellar career.
“I want my family to see what I do and not what I did,” he says of sharing his passion for music with his wife Kim and their two sons, Dalton and Parker. “I like the artistry of it. I could have been a carpenter or a farmer, but I love the spirit of the music. The creative ideas still flow and I am writing much more than I have in previous years. I always love to create something new.”
To that end, Greenwood has a new seven-song EP titled “I Want to be in Your World”, scheduled for a July 25th release. He wrote three of the seven songs & exposes his musical talent on the saxophone on one of the original tracks, “Here Comes Love, There Goes My Heart”. He also covers the Michael McDonald/Kenny Loggins ballad “You Can Let Go Now.” McDonald dropped by the studio to play piano on the song.
Greenwood claims a string of hits including “Ring on Her Finger, Time on Her Hands,” “It Turns Me Inside Out,” “Somebody’s Gonna Love You,” “Holdin’ A Good Hand,” “I Don’t Mind the Thorns (If You’re the Rose)”, “She’s Lyin,” and “Dixie Road.” He has won numerous industry accolades including, Male Vocalist of the year for the Academy of Country Music in 1983, two Male Vocalist of the Year awards from the Country Music Association, 1983 & 1984 and a Grammy for Top Male Vocal Performance in 1985 for “I.O.U.”. Also in 1985, he took home CMA Song of the Year honor as the writer of “God Bless the USA.”
The song, “God Bless the USA” has been voted the most recognizable patriotic song in America. The singer knows first-hand what it’s like to have loved ones fighting for the freedom of all Americans as his father served in the Navy & the Merchant Marine in World War II.

Rock ‘n Blues Fest
This year’s Rhode Island Summer Rock ‘n Blues Fest is truly a historic, musical celebration, featuring performances from – Ten Years After, Edgar Winter Band, Canned Heat, Rick Derringer, and Pat Travers. This years annual ‘Hippiefest’ tour is truly a Rock n’ Blues Fest.’
When asked – “What can we expect from the Edgar Winter Band?” – at the Rock n’ Blues Fest, Edgar Winter responded:
“Well, we’ll be doing ‘Tobacco Road,’ the traditional blues song I originally popularized with my brother, Johnny. It is climaxed with the long primal scream, followed by the vocal/guitar duel (performed with Doug Rappoport). And, of course, we will do our biggest hits, the ever-popular ‘Free Ride,’ and the indestructible monster, ‘Frankenstein’!”

THE KINGSTON TRIO
In 1957 The Kingston Trio emerged from San Francisco's North Beach club scene to take the country by storm, bringing the rich tradition of American folk music into the mainstream for the first time. During the late 50s & early 60s, the Trio enjoyed unprecedented record sales and worldwide fame, while influencing the musical tastes of a generation.
Through changing times, the Trio has played on, remaining popular for a simple reason... great songs that sound as good today as the first time you heard them. And fifty-six years after Tom Dooley shot to the top of the charts, the Trio is still on the road thirty weeks a year, bringing back all the great memories and making new ones.
